Revolution in PC Games World

A couple years ago the PC was in common use for helping in the offices. It was hardly been able to compare the PC games with the popular PlayStation Wii consoles and Xbox. With the development in gaming industry some of the biggest computer companies, such as Intel Corp., AMD, NVidia Corp. and Microsoft joint their forces and formed The PC Gaming Aliance. The Aliance was announced for the first time at the Games Developers Conference which was held last week in San Francisco. The main goal is to design more and more computers which will run games on high standards, make understandable which games will play on specific configurations and to fight the piracy. Moreover the online provider of advertising supported games, the WildTangent Orb, launched an application which will provide playing console titles online. The research in revenue of game industry in North America found that only about 14% from $18.85 billion refers to PC titles. However this fact is going to change. According to the latest research the growth up to 80% is expected in this business in the next few years. "PCGA members believe that we are stronger and more effective together than any member company is alone, and that our shared vision and group effort will improve PC gaming worldwide," said Randy Stude, director of the Gaming Program Office at Intel. "Industry forums have proven to foster competition and innovation among member companies and grow markets while improving user experiences."
